Murdoch Calls Hacking Victims Scumbags

Sometimes it is easy to misunderstand what someone says when they are using Twitter, but Rupert Murdoch referred to hacking victims meeting with British Prime Minister about increased privacy protections as "scumbag celebrities". These are the celebrities that have banded together after one of Murdoch's news companies hacked into mobile devices to steal email and other communications to drum up news stories.

From the Guardian article:
The comments sparked a storm of disapproval, with Murdoch repeatedly asked to apologise for the remarks and remove the tweets. Hames hit back at the head of News Corp, tweeting: "Never let the facts get in the way of a good story eh Rupert. Happy to discuss our concerns with you sometime?". She added: "I've been called worse, but admittedly not by CEO of large multinational corp."
